Love sorting, hate waste? We’d love you to come by.

We host weekly sorting hours on Wednesday evening, Thursday evening, Friday lunchtime and Saturday morning at our Logan Square space. We release the volunteer schedule on a monthly basis.

Volunteer tasks vary every day, and include:

  • Quality checking items

  • Sorting items by type, size or use

  • Packing orders for our partners

  • Special organizing projects

Many volunteers tell us they find our tasks meditative. We invite you to let us know what you’re most interested in so we can allocate you to a task you enjoy!

Accessibility: The Parlor is accessed via 8 steps. Some tasks may involve lifting and carrying items, but can be tailored to accommodate different abilities and needs. Due to building construction, we regret our space is currently not wheelchair accessible.
