Trash People Community Yoga at The Parlor
Join our community for a restful, gentle yoga practice led by amera al-ali. Amera is an incredible teacher and guides us through a 50 minute gentle stretch, ending with a beautiful soundbath during savasana.
This class is suitable for all levels, and beginners are very welcome. we follow the class with complimentary tea and social time.
Tickets are sliding scale $15+
Class is typically hosted monthly and all proceeds fund The Parlor. We’d love to see you there!
TEACHER RESOURCE FAIR AT THE PARLOR
Teachers are great. The fact many teachers have to buy their own classroom supplies is not great. This was the logic that led to the creation of our free resource fair for teachers at the parlor. How it works:
1) We collect office/school/teaching/craft supplies at the parlor all year round - nothing new, just the stuff filling your drawers that you’re not going to use anytime soon.
2) Twice a year, we lay it all out nicely and invite teachers to come take whatever they want/need, for free.
3) More stuff in classrooms. Less stuff in landfill. Ta da!

This’ll be our 5th(?) teacher resource fair and this time around WasteNot are supporting with a special collection for their members before the event. If you’re a waste not member, check your email for instructions on how to add a teacher supplies collection. alternatively, you can drop off your supplies to share with teachers during parlor open hours.
